Masonry- Building of structures from individual units laid in and bound together. Masonry is commonly used for the walls of buildings, retaining walls and monuments. Masonry is generally a highly durable form of construction. However, the materials used, the quality of the mortar and workmanship, and the pattern in which the units are assembled can strongly affect the durability of the overall masonry construction.

Chimney- A structure for venting hot flue gases or smoke. The space inside

a chimney is called a flue. All chimneys should have a cap on them.

Roofing- Protects the building and its contents form the effects of weather.

Such roofs may take a number of different shapes and be constructed of and

covered with a variety of materials.

Decks- A flat surface capable of supporting weight, similar to a floor, but

typically constructed outdoors, often elevated from the ground, and usually

connected to a building.

Waterproofing- Objects unaffected by water or resisting water passage, or

which are covered with a material that resists or does not allow water passage.

Such items may be used in wet environments or under water.
